At the 50th Anniversary of IPPF in November 2002, the Governing Councilapproved the new IPPF Strategic Framework that focuses on:
ü The sexual and reproductive health and rights of adolescents and young people;
ü HIV / AIDS and other STI’s;
ü Access to sexual and reproductive health information and services for all, especially the poor and marginalized;
ü Safe abortion; and
ü Advocacy on behalf of all these objectives.
The IPPF/AWR Strategic Plan for 2005 to 2009 is based on the IPPF framework and encompasses the five priority areas:
