Advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights in the Arab World

Goal
To identify the role of IPPF Arab World Region in raising awareness within the Arab World of the connection between sexual and reproductive rights and human rights, and facilitate work in partnership with civil society organizations to generate an increased understanding of the ways in which rights can be respected, protected and fulfilled within the framework of the wide range of social, cultural and religious values prevalent in the Arab World.
Objectives
1.To assess key sexual and reproductive health and rights priorities in the Arab World Region through an analysis which emphasizes a rights-based approach to addressing them effectively.
2.To raise awareness within the IPPF Arab World Region about international human rights treaty processes to which countries in the Arab World are signatories (eg the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child)
3.To examine key elements that could be included in effective human rights programmes in the Arab World Contexts, with the overall aim of increasing the extent to which rights are respected, protected and fulfilled in the region.
